1.  Parlor Name

2.  Event or Function

3.  Names of those (left to right) in the photo (if possible)

4.  Photo Subject

 

Photos received by snail mail will be scanned for posting and every attempt will be made to return them; however, there are no guarantees.

Marshall’s Monument

Dedicated to James W. Marshall, the Discover of Gold in California. Who in January of 1848 exclaimed “Gold! Gold! by golly boys, I’ve found Gold!” Starting the greatest peacetime migration in history, the California gold rush.

Erected in Coloma in 1890 on land donated by Placerville Parlor #9
